Chef of the Week
In sports the term “cookin” is reserved for a player who goes on a scoring spree or gets hot during a game and makes big plays on the offensive end.
This week’s “Chef of the Week” award winner is WE-R1 (Del.) point guard Trevon Duval for dominating the Under Armour Association Finals last week.
Duval averaged 22 points, eight rebounds and six assists in route to capturing the UA Finals title. With the win he became the first player ever to win both the UA Finals and Peach Jam titles.
Making history, the mark of a true chef.
Poster of the Week
This week’s Poster of the Week winner is Houston Defenders (Texas) forward Mitchell Seriale for the plethora of posters he created during the Under Armour Association Finals last week.
Rim-rocker after rim-rocker, Seriale left countless victims in his wake.
At some point you’d have to wonder when would-be shot blockers would realize that jumping with Seriale wasn’t a good idea.
It’s a safe bet that they’ve got the memo now.

Oh No They Didn’t!
This award is reserved for the player who turned in a mind-boggling performance or play that left the crowd in a state of shock and amazement.
This week’s “Oh No They Didn’t” winner is Union Catholic (Scotch Plains, N.J.) track star Sydney McLaughlin for becoming the first 16-year-old to qualify for the Olympics since Rhonda Brady (1976).
McLaughlin took third in the 400-meter hurdles at the Olympic trials in Oregon two weeks back.
Two days later she was named Gatorade Female Athlete of the Year.
Talk about an exciting 72 hours.
